The CPP is an online simulation exercise or “game” which measures your thinking processes. It starts off by carefully explaining the task requirements. This is followed by a number of exercises which you will complete. While doing so the computer will track your actions and interpretations in detail. The “game” is unfamiliar and somewhat unusual. At times the requirements may not be very clear, but you need to decide what to do, for yourself. You therefore must use your own discretion. Strictly speaking, there are no right or wrong answers and no time limitations. You can therefore work at your own pace. Most candidates, however, take 2 hours to complete the assessment. Your interpretations of 8 different short messages or “stories” will be analysed by algorithms to identify your information processing tendencies.

CPP ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS

The CPP is a supervised assessment technique that should ideally be taken only once as it capitalizes on a person’s cognitive approach to dealing with unfamiliarity. Any previous exposure to the assessment may invalidate the results. Test administration should be conducted by an accredited professional or the CPP virtual assistant / proctor.

To protect the confidentiality of personal information; the integrity of the assessment results; as well as Cognadev’s intellectual property, access to the CPP assessment is strictly controlled. Users agree to:

ensure that the administration of the assessment is supervised by an accredited professional or the CPP virtual proctor.
not distribute the game, web links, or personal access codes to others except for the intended assessment purposes.
take full responsibility for the confidential management of all Cognadev assessment results.
ensure that the biographical information of all assessment candidates is completed as comprehensively as possible as this is required for research purposes.
Commit to professional and ethical conduct at all times in dealing with the Cognadev products and indemnify Cognadev from any consequences of misconduct in this regard.
take full responsibility for the completion, signature and storing of data release consent forms of all CPP assessment candidates;
ensure that the test candidate does the assessment themselves without any assistance from others; that they do not make notes, and that they meet the assessment requirements (e.g. write down CPP stories).
ensure that the assessment is completed by rested and motivated test subjects.
ensure that the assessment candidate sets aside at least three hours to complete the CPP.

Terms and Conditions:

I understand the purposes of this assessment. If not, I will discuss these with the test administrator.

I will complete this assessment on my own and will not make any notes (on paper or the computer).
I am doing the assessment in a comfortable and quiet space and it is unlikely that I will be disturbed.
I have sufficient time (up to three hours) to do the CPP assessment and will complete the assessment in one sitting.
My personal information and assessment results may be released to Cognadev, the accredited consultant/account holder involved.
I understand that my results are confidential. Unless I request Cognadev to destroy my results, they may retain the data in a secure manner to provide to myself or others at a later stage, given my permission to do so.
I understand that I have the right to see my results.
I understand that the first CPP assessment I complete is usually the most valid.
